While the contracts between the LFP and the broadcasters stipulate that the clubs are obliged to present players and coaches to the microphone of the match broadcaster, LOSC did not send any player of the match to DAZN during the reception in Toulouse. A decision far from trivial.
LOSC very angry against the League
This is a first major setback for DAZN. Eminently upset against the scheduling of the derby against RC Lens in Bollaert, scheduled for next Saturday October 26 – instead of Sunday, as desired by LOSC – after a week of two other trips as long as they are important (Monaco on Friday, then Madrid on Wednesday to face Atlético), the Lille club has decided not to respect the contracts between the League and the broadcaster DAZN.
As reported by The Voice of the NorthLOSC did not send any player or coach to answer the broadcaster’s questions at half-time and at the end of the match, even though the regulations oblige them to do so. All this as a sign of protest against programming deemed “ irresponsible » of the LFP. If this does not risk changing the date of the match, the northern club at least has the merit of firmly displaying its dissatisfaction while exposing itself to a possible sanction. Even if this case serves as a first and it is difficult to predict the consequences – if there really are any – of such an act.
