Real Madrid and Barcelona could renew their interest in the transfer of Nottingham Forest defender Murillo in 2025.
Murillo has continued to impress in the Premier League after joining Nottingham in 2023 from Brazilian club Corinthians. His combative style has attracted the attention of other Premier League sides, with Forest avoiding relegation last season, and his form has continued into the start of the 2024/25 season.
According to reports from Football Insider, Forest are closely monitoring interest from big clubs in their star centre-back, with another relegation battle expected in 2025.

With Murillo under contract at the City Ground until 2028, Forest will be confident they can command a high price, but the Spanish giants will wait to see if they are relegated before making a move. If Forest fall out of the top flight, it will impact their ability to keep the 22-year-old and reduce their asking price.
An offer is not expected in January, with Murillo keen to play in the Champions League in his future career, which is on offer at both Madrid and Barcelona.
