“I am very proud of the progress shown by the players” – Alsa’Sports

Gala match this Sunday for the Racing Club de which will host Olympique de at the Stade de la Meinau (8:45 p.m.). The Strasbourg coach answered questions from journalists earlier today:

“It’s a match that we like to play. We are going to face a big club but we also do this job to experience these matches. Afterwards, we approach each match with the same desire, the same excitement and the same need to be consistent, regardless of the opponent. I think that during each match we maintain our playing principles but we adapt certain things depending on our opponent. I am very proud of the progress shown by the players since the start of the season. We create a lot of opportunities and danger can come from anywhere. We still have to find this balance with the defensive aspect to concede fewer goals. Roberto de Zerbi is, for me, one of the best coaches in the world. Marseille is one of the very big teams in the championship but I want us to keep the same approach, the same mentality and to stay positive.

We have a team that plays with a lot of energy, desire and who works hard for each other. All the players listen and give their all on the pitch. I want to highlight this group, this collective and not talk about individuals. Mason Greenwood is a very talented player, he has enormous qualities. I’m not surprised by what he’s shown since the start of the season. Roberto De Zerbi? I won’t have enough of a press conference to say all the good things I think of him. I have a lot of respect for him, it’s a pleasure to see him coach Olympique de Marseille. Andrey is a top player, he is a true professional. He works every day to progress and improve. On the pitch, he plays like a very experienced player, almost like a coach.”
