55 ME at stake, Mbappé and PSG resume meeting

After the decision of the LFP legal commission, which ruled in favor of Kylian Mbappé, Saint-Germain appealed. The matter is now in the hands of the LFP’s joint national appeals commission which has arranged to meet with both parties next month.

The affair between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain continues. After his free departure this summer, the Real Madrid striker is demanding a total of 55 million euros, the amount corresponding to bonuses and salaries not paid by the Ile-de- club. The club led by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi relies on an oral agreement made with the Frenchman in the summer of 2023 to end his sidelining. Since then, the French international has apparently returned to his unwritten commitment.

The legal commission of the Professional Football League therefore ruled in its favor. But Paris Saint-Germain appealed the decision. This is why the file now finds itself in the hands of the LFP’s joint national appeals commission. A jurisdiction which, according to information from L’Equipe, has already made an appointment with Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain. The two camps are actually convened on the afternoon of Tuesday October 15, reveals the sports daily website.

It’s far from over

It is difficult to say what the verdict of this court will be. In any case, whatever the decision, we can already imagine that the “loser” will not stop there. Whether it is Kylian Mbappé or his former leaders, no one will accept defeat, if only for a question of image. We must therefore expect a new appeal, this time to the higher appeals commission belonging to the French Football Federation. Finally, both parties can always go through the administrative court or industrial tribunal.
