Three matches postponed

This was to be expected: was violently drenched by the Herminia depression, this Sunday January 26, 2025, which caused the postponement of three of the fifteen matches scheduled for this weekend, for the round of 16 of the Cup from Brittany. Indeed, Lié-Plouguenast (D1) – AS -Ménimur (R2), -de-Bretagne (R2) – Plaintel Sports (R2) and the clash of R1 Séné FC – Lamballe FC had to be postponed to a later date . In Séné, the Costarmoricans regretted having made the trip for nothing: “We have a synthetic so we could have hosted the match,” said Pierre-Yves David, the Lamballais coach.

Five R1 teams on the mat, including Stade Pontivyen…

US Montagnarde (R1), Stade Pontivyen (R1), leader of its Regional 1 group, AS Vignoc-Hédé-Guipel (R1), CPB Bréquigny (R1) and RC Rannée-La Guerche (R1 ) have passed away! Five teams from the regional elite fell in the round of 16 of the Coupe de Bretagne this weekend. For good reason, four of them lost a 100% R1 duel, since US Concarneau B (R1) won ahead of US Montagnarde (3-1), while Plougastel FC (R1) won. is imposed on penalties in front of Stade Pontivyen (1-1, 5-4 on the tabs), US Liffré (R1) played against Vignoc (2-1) and Stade Briochin B (R1) easily disposed of CPB Bréquigny (3-1). Rannée-La Guerche was surprised by a Regional 3 team.

This is the only big surprise of this round of the Coupe de : the Enfants de Guer, third in Group H of Regional 3, took out, on penalties, the Bretillians of Rannée-La Guerche (0-0, 6- 5 in the tab), in difficulty in the championship, 13th in R1. For the rest, the hierarchy has always been respected by the favorites, even if AG Plouvorn (R1) took time to open the scoring at Camaret-Pen Hir (D1), for a final victory (2-0), including a second goal scored in stoppage time in the second period. Bréhan (R3) also contained Saint-Renan (R1) for more than an hour, before logically losing (2-0).

Four penalty shootouts

Of the 15 posters for the weekend, four ended with a penalty shootout. Results: three victories for the locals, in Guer (R3), against Rannée-La Guerche, in Plougastel (R1), against Stade Pontivyen (R1), and in Ergué-Armel (R2) against Entente du Trieux (R2) and one among the visitors, Ploumagoar (R2) in Morlaix (R2). As always, undecided sessions…
