Like the majority of clubs, Olympique de Marseille would like to be able to count on several players from its training center in the future. A desire displayed by Pablo Longoria but also by Medhi Benatia. A task that Roberto De Zerbi would obviously like to accomplish, who notably gave Robinio Vaz a chance on Sunday evening against Strasbourg, the latter having entered the game in the 46th minute. The former Sochalian would also be part of a precise plan developed by the Italian and Medhi Benatia, according to information from La Provence.
A special program to get closer to professional requirements!
Indeed, like Keyliane Abdallah, Darryl Bakola, Alexandre Issanga, Alexi Koum, Gaël Lafont, Kélian Le Pironnec and Yanis Sellami, the 17-year-old striker would have seen the club prepare a special program for him in order to refine his background and to have more chances of playing professionally. These eight young people are entitled to two additional sessions per week in addition to their usual training, where they are supported by Lassad Hasni, director of the training center. The program varies from one session to another but they work specifically in the field or on video.
One thing is certain, they all have a card to play as De Zerbi suggested when Enzo Sternal left: “Young people must have the patience to grow, mature, progress and wait their turn. I think I'm one of the coaches in Europe who has brought in the most young people. I don't focus on names, but on results. When they deserve it, they will play” he said. A speech which should certainly motivate the eight young people mentioned but also all the others at the training center.
