After an eventful season, Kader Bamba finds a familiar environment by engaging with the Clermont Foot 63 until 2026. This signing marks the reunion of the 30-year-old striker with Laurent Batllesthe coach who welcomed him on loan to AS Saint-Étienne during the second part of the 2022-2023 season. During this pivotal period, Bamba wore the Greens jersey 14 times, scoring four goals and distributing an assist, thus contributing to the spectacular recovery of the Saint-Etienne team.

An experienced offensive reinforcement for Clermont

Free from any contract after his departure from FC where he participated in 25 games last season, Bamba brings his baggage to a Clermont team looking for offensive reinforcement. With his profile as a technical dribbler and his physical freshness, the former Nantes player intends to bring his experience and qualities to Clermont, currently 12th in League 2 BKT and far from the objective of increasing Ligue 1. His recruitment represents an additional asset to boost Batlles’ offensive play.

A choice motivated by the relationship with Batlles

Beyond purely sporting aspects, Bamba seems to have been seduced by the prospect of finding Laurent Batllesthe coach with whom he had a good feeling during their collaboration at Saint-Étienne. During his presentation, the player did not hide his enthusiasm: “I'm very happy to sign for Clermont Foot, it's nice to be back on the pitch. I'm happy to find Laurent Batlles again, he's a coach I like.” This relationship of trust seems to have weighed in the balance to convince Bamba to join Auvergne.

A new challenge to relaunch your career

After mixed experiences in recent seasons, Kader Bamba approaches this new challenge in Clermont with the ambition of sustainably relaunching his career. At 30 years old, the versatile striker still has plenty of room for improvement and solid experience acquired in different clubs. Under the leadership of battleswith whom the connection seems to be in good shape, Bamba will have the opportunity to fully blossom and regain the consistency that he has sometimes lacked.
