Considered a great hope for the training center by OM supporters, Enzo Sternal finally took the path of departure. His transfer to Anderlecht only brought in 500,000 euros, pending 500,000 euros in bonuses.
Is Olympique de Marseille having trouble selling? This is what many supporters are thinking after the departure of Enzo Sternal. Perceived by many observers as a great hope for the OM training center – which is rare enough to highlight in recent times – the young 17-year-old striker finally made the decision to leave his training club. The native of Nancy took advantage of the winter transfer window to sign up with Anderlecht. The Belgian club offered the young French talent with the aim of integrating him, initially, into its reserve team, before ultimately offering him a place in the first team. At least that's the plan. What is especially shocking in this transfer is not so much the fact that Enzo Sternal has left but rather the small sum recovered by Marseille in this deal.
1M for Sternal, OM supporters shocked
According to information from DH Les Sports+the operation was carried out on the basis of a transfer estimated at 500,000 euros paid in cash, to which is added 500,000 euros in the form of bonuses. A potential total of a little over a million euros. A sum which surprised Olympian supporters, some of whom initially expected a higher total for a player considered very promising. Note, however, that Pablo Longoria and Medhi Benatia have done things well in this matter, by including a very large percentage on resale in favor of Olympique de Marseille when Enzo Sternal leaves Anderlecht.
