Holder of a Master's degree in international law, I realized at the end of my university career that it was important to evolve in a field that you appreciate. Overnight, I decided to put an end to my parents' dream, who saw in me a future lawyer, to make a living from my passion: sport. Since then, I have covered transfer windows and sports news, trying to keep readers informed as best as possible.
Having passed through the PSG reserve team, Christian Gomis has had a very unique trajectory. Failing in the French capital, the Senegalese player went into exile in Bulgaria, Hungary, then Thailand. A country where the level of play would be interesting. During an interview, he looked back on his career and his ambitions.
Christian Gomis did not have the chance to rub shoulders with the stars of PSG. Arriving in 2019 from Bastia, the Senegalese player did not have the necessary talent to make a breakthrough. His case did not improve with Covid-19, which put an end to his dream. In October 2020, with no real hope of reaching the first team, gomis decided to fly to Bulgaria. During an interview given to Football 365the defender returned to his passage to PSG.
-Gomis weighed down by Covid-19
“My time in the PSG reserve taught me a lot about life and as a footballer. It was a complicated season, I didn't play for no reason (smile), then Covid-19 intervened and I had to leave the club. No hard feelings, the sequel will have proven me right. I thank my former coach Carlos de Vasconcelos for forging a man, because going through this ordeal taught me a lot” confided gomis. This experience served him later. After the Bulgaria and the Hungaryhe joined the Thailand last August.
Surprise departure to Thailand
“I knew Thailand mainly through boxing. I, who thought I was arriving in a poorly organized club, discovered facilities worthy of a top club in France. With a new complex, a new stadium and a very professional way of working. I was surprised, from my first friendly, against Dortmund, that we won 4-0… This experience allows me to travel a lot, thanks to the Asian Cup matches: we played in Indonesia, then in Cambodia and now in Vietnam » blurted out Gomis.
