It is a totally unexpected reconversion that Florent Malouda chose to carry out after the end of his career in 2018 and a final stint at FC Differdange, in Luxembourg. He joined the citizen reserve of the 3rd Foreign Infantry Regiment as an officer.

A native of Cayenne, in Guyana, the former Guingamp resident decided to get involved with the legionnaires to transmit the values of commitment and surpassing oneself to Guyanese youth.
