PSG hit hard during this winter transfer window with the signing of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who arrives from Naples for €75 million. The Georgian striker recovers the number 7 of Kylian Mbappé at PSG, and Olivier Giroud arrives in this series by announcing heavy things with Kvaratskhelia whom he met in Serie A.
Already targeted by the PSG during the last summer transfer window, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (23 years old) is therefore the big recruit of the winter within the capital club. The Georgian striker arrives from Naples for €75M, and he will even inherit number 7, left free by Kylian Mbappé upon his free departure last summer. Kvaratskhelia also comes to digitally replace Mbappé on the left side of PSG's attack, competing with Bradley Stagger. And his recruitment has already been validated.
-“I like him”
Olivier Giroudwho crossed Kvaratskhelia several times in Serie A when he played for Milan ACcomes to this issue with his point of view. Questioned in the columns of Parisianhe praises the merits of the new recruit of the PSG : « He is quite unpredictable, very strong in one-on-one situations with this ease of elimination, but also altruistic. I like him and will bring to PSG with his ability to score and to be decisive himself. “, noted Giroud.
“He has a lot of personality”
Et Adrien Thomasson also spoke about the style of Kvaratskhelia : « He is special because he has a lot of personality with the ball. Like Dembélé, he is not afraid of failing. He can lose 9 or 10 consecutive duels and insist, come back to provoke his opponent, or even attempt a shot. It also shows great confidence in his means. He also has incredible physical skills. He goes fast, he is dexterous, powerful. He brings together the whole range of a winger and more broadly of a modern offensive player ». The PSG therefore knows what to expect with its new number 7, which will try to make people forget Kylian Mbappé.
