While the Vendée Globe podium is already known, the battle rages for 4th place between Goodchild, Beyou and Meilhat.
The podium for the 10th edition of the Vendée Globe is now complete, with the arrival on the night of Thursday to Friday of Sébastien Simon in Les Sables-d'Olonne. Charlie Dalin, winner in 64 days 19 hours 22 minutes 49 seconds, his runner-up Yoann Richomme and the skipper of Groupe Dubreuil all three circumnavigated the world much faster than the previous record holder for the event, Armel Le Cléac'h (74 days 03 hours 35 minutes during the 2016-17 edition).
In the fight for 4th place, Sam Goodchild (Vulnerable), currently the best placed, is less than 2,000 nautical miles from the finish line but Jérémie Beyou (5th) and Paul Meilhat (6th) are hot on his heels. They are expected around January 23 and 24, that is to say in another six or seven days of sailing, according to race management estimates. Far behind, the three skippers bringing up the rear have not yet crossed Cape Horn.
