According to information obtained by Alfredo Pedullà, OM remains in the running to obtain the signature of Renato Veiga this winter. Capable of playing as a left-back and in the center of defense, the 21-year-old Portuguese international (3 caps) is lacking playing time with the Blues. In particular, he has only played 7 Premier League matches since last summer.
Renato Veiga presents an atypical profile for the full-back position with his 1.90 m and 88 kg. The player has a contract which runs until June 2031 and its value is estimated at 10 million euros. The Marseille leaders would favor a permanent signing, which would not suit Chelsea, who would consider him very promising. Lazio Rome and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested, with the German club having, it seems, the advantage.
Renato Veiga was trained at Sporting, before being loaned to Augsburg, then transferred to FC Basel and finally to Chelsea. The London team spent 14 million euros to recruit him last summer.
