A mutual interest between Marseille and Boscagli

Aged 27, Olivier Boscagli reaches the end of his contract next June with the Dutch club. This contractual situation could allow OM to complete its transfer at a lower cost from this winter transfer window. According to The Olympian Tribunethe defender would also be interested in a challenge in Marseille. Author of a new successful season with PSV, Boscagli would however encourage the interest of several other clubs during this transfer window.

An experience profile for OM

Trained at OGC , Olivier Boscagli has solid experience in Ligue 1 with more than 100 matches played for Nice. After a stint in the Netherlands at Eindhoven in 2020, the 27-year-old left-handed central defender could be tempted by a new challenge in an ambitious club like OM. His versatility in being able to play in the center or on the left side of the defense would be an additional asset for the Marseillais.

If the negotiations were to succeed, the amount of the operation could remain affordable for OM given Boscagli's contractual situation. However, Marseille will most likely have to be convincing in the face of competition from other clubs also interested in the player profile. The final decision will be made by the principal concerned who will have to decide between the different proposals received.
