Lazio fires its falconer for exhibitionism

This Monday, January 13, Lazio announced that it was parting ways with its falconer, who flew the club's symbol eagle before each match from the central circle. In question, photos of a sexual nature published by the man on his social networks. “Lazio, shocked to see the images and video of Juan Bernabè and to read the statements that accompany them, informs that it has ceased, with immediate effect, all relations with him, given the seriousness of his behavior”declared the club in an official press release justifying its decision.

This is not the first time that Juan Bernabé has been questioned by the club. In 2021, he had already been suspended by the management of Lazio for fascist salutes made in front of the platform of the ultras, known for their admiration of Benito Mussolini. The 56-year-old man explained that he did not understand his ouster, believing that his photos were not shocking and that “Nudity is something normal, because I grew up in a naturist family and with an open mind.” Lazio will therefore have to find another falconer to perpetuate the tradition.
