Author of a very promising first part of the season, the English striker of the Olympian club has especially come out of a very convincing month of December. Covered by Roberto De Zerbi and Pablo Longoria, who take care of him on and off the field to protect him from a potentially negative external environment, Mason Greenwood has just been named best Ligue 1 player of the month for December.
Author of two goals last month, the former Manchester United striker collected 38% of the votes and was narrowly ahead of Lyon’s Rayan Cherki (33%) and Lille’s Jonathan David (29%). Starting Saturday evening on the Rennes pitch (2-1 victory for Marseillais), Greenwood was once again decisive by equalizing just before the break.
