The sixteenth day of National pitted Ichem Ferrah’s FC Rouen 1899 against Vincent Burlet’s Mans FC. The two former LOSC teammates parted back to back (2-2).
LOSC is never very far from the Stade Robert-Diochon side. A few weeks ago, the Mastiffs traveled to Rouen where they won painfully (0-1) against the Red Devils in the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France. This Friday, for their first match of the year, they welcomed Le Mans FC to their home ground, a team in which Vincent Burlet, former teammate of Ichem Ferrah, loaned to Rouen, plays with the Lille reserve. The two men were unable to decide between themselves (2-2) in a spectacular match.
After a first quarter of an hour of observation, the meeting gradually increased in intensity. It ended up changing with the opening score of Vula (0-1, 23′) who took advantage of a ball released by Axel Maraval, he who had nevertheless made life difficult for the Dogues in 2024. The rest was irrational with a penalty missed by the locals (26′), then a post and a bar in the other camp, hit by the Manceaux on the counter which followed. Unhappy in this sequence, they hit the nail on the head just before the break, with a double from Vula (0-2, 45+2′). The second act, as Ichem Ferrah returned to the field, saw the scenario reversed. Mbock restarted his team from the penalty spot (1-2, 78′) then Benkaid, launched from deep, snatched the equalizer at the end of the match (2-2, 88′).
Lined up on the left flank, Vincent Burlet
(19th) experienced a fourth consecutive start on Friday. He has accumulated 777 minutes (and one goal) in 10 appearances since arriving on loan at Le Mans. In the other camp, Ichem Ferrah (19 years old) started this time on the bench even though he was unable to face the Mastiffs before the end of year celebrations. A regular starter, he has 1087 minutes (one goal and two assists) in 15 appearances. The first named will find Ousmane Touré (19 years old) in the Coupe de France during the week. The latter could not be lined up on the field this weekend, not yet qualified with Valenciennes.
