According to new videos revealed 48 hours after Real Madrid’s victory against Mallorca in the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup, Jude Bellingham also exchanged words with Pablo Maffeo, who had provoked Vinicius Jr.
The semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup between Real Madrid and Mallorca was lively on the pitch but also behind the scenes. A few days before the match kicked off, Mallorcan Pablo Maffeo had provoked Vinicius Jr, by assuring that he would “knock him out in ten seconds” in a boxing match while “knocking him out of his match”. On the pitch, even if Real won easily (3-0), the tension was at its height Thursday evening in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) between the two players, but also Jude Bellingham, who exchanged a few words with Maffeo, as shown in images published on social networks.
The scene would have taken place at the start of the match. After a discussion with Antonio Rallo, the England international walked towards Maffeo making the “ten” sign with his hands, in reference to the Mallorcan’s statements. “Ten seconds of boxing? You soft idiot,” Bellingham reportedly said.
Another lively match awaits the Madrilenians
The two men had much more than a dispute in this game, since Bellingham gave a discreet little slap on Maffeo’s head at the end of the match, after the third goal scored by Rodrygo. This gesture did not please the Mallorca players, and a fight broke out on the pitch.
After a tense semi-final, Real Madrid will experience another tense match this Sunday during the final of the Spanish Super Cup against great rival FC Barcelona (8 p.m.), to try to get a third title this season after the European Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup.
