Eager to get rid of some of its undesirables in order to reduce its payroll, Manchester United offered Harry Maguire to numerous clubs… including Paris Saint-Germain.
Paris Saint-Germain has finally activated on the transfer market. The Parisian club is more than advanced in negotiations with Napoli for the recruitment of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and hopes to be able to include Milan Skriniar in the deal. The Slovak central defender, who is no longer at all welcome in Luis Enrique’s training, will leave a vacant place in his position. Faced with this state of affairs, Manchester United tried their luck by trying to send one of their biggest undesirables, Harry Maguire, back to Paris.
Manchester United offers Maguire, Paris laughs
According to information from PSGInside_Actu, Manchester United have offered a certain number of players from their squad, placed on the transfer list, to European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain. Among these, a certain Harry Maguire. Seventh highest Mancunian salary, he is not at all part of Ruben Amorim’s plans. But faced with this proposal, Parisian leaders laughed in the face of their Manchester counterparts. Nasser al-Khelaïfi and Luis Campos have absolutely no interest in offering Luis Enrique a player of Maguire’s caliber. The latter, in great difficulty for several seasons, is far from the tactical and technical requirements requested by the Parisian coach.
As a reminder, the Red Devils are seeking at all costs to reduce their payroll with the aim of freeing up funds for better quality recruitment. Many players are pushed out. Among the players proposed, we also find, obviously, Marcus Rashford, who is the one who interests Paris Saint-Germain the most. Much more than Harry Maguire anyway. Eager to recruit Randal Kolo Muani, Manchester United perhaps hopes to lighten the bill by offering some of its undesirables in the deal.
