Manchester City, who would have made an offer of 50 million euros including bonus to RC Lens, would be on the verge of offering Abdukodir Khusanov.
It was the German journalist from Sky Sport, Patrick Berger, who dropped the bomb this Thursday evening: Manchester City would be on the verge of signing the central defender of RC Lens, Abdukodir Khusanov.
The current sixth in the Premier League would have submitted an offer of 50 million euros including bonus to the Sang et Or, who should, in all likelihood, accept the Mancunian proposal. For his part, Abdukodir Khusanov would of course be interested in a transfer to the Citizens.
-Khusanov will overtake Openda
If this is confirmed, the Uzbek should become the biggest sale in the history of Racing, thus overtaking Loïs Openda, who was sold for 40 million euros by the Artesian club to RB Leipzig. As a reminder, Abdukodir Khusanov was only purchased for 100,000 euros in the summer of 2023 by RC Lens from the Belarusian club Energetik-BGU. He should therefore be sold for 500 times that price to Manchester City this winter.
