Manchester United wants to bounce back and return to the top in England. A new project, started with the arrival on November 11 of a new coach, Ruben Amorim, who must change the bad habits of the past. But the Portuguese technician's tactical ideas and his choices have jeopardized the future of several players at the Red Devils, including Marcus Rashford, put on the shelf, Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho. The Mancunian club is also ready to sell these two talents.
Mainoo sacrificed for finances
Despite making 17 appearances, last season's Manchester revelation has still not extended his contract, expiring in 2027 as he demands £200,000 a week as United want to reduce their wage bill. Faced with this disagreement, the Daily Mail mentions a possible departure. The English daily explains that he has the highest market value of the club, estimated at 70 million pounds sterling, and could be sacrificed this winter or this summer in order to rebalance the accounts. Chelsea have reportedly decided to position themselves for the English midfielder born in 2005. A turnaround for the one deemed untransferable last season.

To summarize

Launched into the deep end at just 17 years old in 2023, Kobbie Mainoo no longer seems to fit into his trainer's plans. The Manchester club are ready to sell the young midfielder who has a market value of around £70 million.
