Relegated and stuck in a worrying dynamic, Le Havre is also losing its vital strength at the start of the winter transfer window. Like the departure of Christopher Opéri, his left side, who is heading to Turkey.
Le Havre more in danger than ever?
Economically weighed down by the situation of French football and the deal with CVC, Le Havre is forced to sell. And this despite a sporting situation that is far from good. Relegated with only 12 points on the clock, the Norman club remains on a scathing defeat in Marseille (5-1), is the worst attack in Ligue 1 (12 goals), remains on a series of five defeats in a row – including one against Saint-Brieuc in the Coupe de France (1-0) and has only won two of its last thirteen league matches.
While some supporters are calling to draw a line under the season in order to be able to replenish the coffers this winter, the HAC has formalized its second departure, after that of Steve Ngoura (19 years old) to Cercle Bruges. This Tuesday, Christopher Opéri got involved with theIstanbul Basaksehir (Türkiye) for an amount estimated at four million euros. A sure value in recent seasons, the Ivorian left-back was somewhat less efficient in this first part of the season, without losing his starting place, and should be assisted by Yanis Zouaoui (26 years old). A loss of weight, therefore, in a Le Havre defense increasingly in difficulty before hosting RC Lens on Sunday (3 p.m.).
