The Girondins de face the Locminé team this Saturday, in a late match. A name in this team is certainly not unknown to you: Julien Faussurier. Now aged 37, the defender, who played for , Sochaux, and Concarneau, has 120 Ligue 1 matches and 332 Ligue 2 matches under his belt.

Via the FFF, the full-back explained why he signed up for SCS Locminé, in National 2.

“This choice is not sporting but family,” assumes the player. There comes a time when there are priorities. After relegation to National with Concarneau, in May 2024, I had touches in Ligue 2 which I refused. I was ready to quit but a friend spoke about me to the sports director of Locminé, who contacted me immediately. »

So, since this season, he has been playing in this N2 championship, and he is “pleasantly surprised” by the level.

“I admire their strength and their desire. Most of them work alongside football and when they arrive at training, they are full of energy. I am also pleasantly surprised by the level. There are definitely teams who try to play ball despite conditions that are not always easy. It's a very interesting championship, a bit like L2: everyone can beat everyone. »

And there is also the atmosphere.

“We meet up after the matches, spending time at headquarters to discuss, reset the world and share with the volunteers and supporters. I've never experienced this, it's very nice. »
