Above all, I wanted to honor Olivier Dall'Oglio who will remain the coach who brought the club back into the elite. The Training Center enjoyed working with him and this is also the case for all components of the club.
The group
Brice Maubleu will start the match tomorrow. This had been considered for a long time. Léo Pétrot and Mathis Amougou will be absent due to injury after sustaining injuries against Toulouse. We record the returns of Mathieu Cafaro (suspension) and Anthony Briançon, back from illness. We will try to give Anthony some playing time. Mickael Nadé and Augustine Boakye are on the right track for the future, but that's too tight for this weekend. We hope to find Aïmen Moueffek during the restart week.
This week of training
Things were clear to everyone. There was a coach who was going to arrive and who arrived. I carried out the week of training with the players because we couldn't waste time to concentrate on the imminent Coupe de France match. That was the goal. We “focused” on this match, spending a lot of time on the pitch from Monday until Saturday afternoon on the defensive aspect, the offensive aspect and the transitions. I wanted to give benchmarks, belief and positive energy to have the bit of confidence that the players need. Because the group does not want to relive the same match, nor the same result as in the last match against OM. It's up to us to find the best way to annoy this team. Because, even if we know that the step is high, we want to take it.
The arrival of Eirik Horneland
Eirik introduced himself to all of us, to the staff, to the players. He wished us a good match. We will have the opportunity to talk afterwards, when he discovers the club and the Training Center. I welcome him and all the best for the future because a successful first team allows the whole club to be in the right dynamic to move forward. I would also like to thank my collaborators and my staff who ensured the continuity of the week at the Training Center while the managers placed their trust in me to lead the professional team while awaiting the appointment of Eirik.
