Real Madrid has reached an agreement for the upcoming transfer of Lamini Fati, nugget from the Leganés club's training center.
Real Madrid will sign Lamini Fati, 18-year-old central defender from Leganés B. According to Relevo, there is a verbal agreement, not yet signed, to make the jump from Butarque to Valdebebas. The defender (born in Spain, his parents are of African origin) is undoubtedly part of the plans of the Getafe reserve team, which plays in the third division, with a powerful profile and good ball management which appeals to Fabrica. Unless there are any surprises, the transaction will be formalized shortly.
This signing, put forward by Relevo, will leave a nice sum of money in the Pepineras coffers, close to the value of the termination clause. We are talking about an amount in excess of 100,000 euros, around what was paid for Koke Mota when he left Leganés to join Atlético last summer.
Internal Leganés sources claim that it will not be a direct arrival at Castilla, but that the Merengue club has hinted that he will initially join the third team (Real Madrid C) or the team youngsters, with the possibility of a move to Castilla, where Raúl is suffering from a scourge of injuries and could do with some reinforcements.
Fati had already received an interesting offer from Valencia last summer, but Leganés managed to retain him. Real Madrid's interest, on the other hand, was hard to ignore. If they had refused, Real would have paid the clause and, according to them, it is better to maintain good relations with the Merengues than to generate unnecessary conflicts.
This transfer demonstrates, once again, the good work that is being done in the Madrid community club's training system, with a good handful of talented players attracting the attention of big clubs. In recent months, sales such as those of Koke Mota, Sydney, Guirao and now Lamini Fati have been concluded.
