According to the specialized Spanish site, the French striker would have in mind to retire at the end of the season. And this despite a contract which binds him with Al-Ittihad until 2026. But at almost 37 years old, the former Madrilenian would be overcome by a certain weariness.
The 2022 Ballon d'Or would find it increasingly difficult to cope with the constraints linked to his job and in particular travel far from his family. Landing in Saudi Arabia, KB9 had a complicated first season at Al-Ittihad, marked by difficult relationships with the two coaches who succeeded each other at the head of the team, Jorge Jesus and Marcelo Gallardo.
