A few months before leaving PSG at the end of his contract, Kylian Mbappé had a dinner with the Emir of Qatar at the Élysée for an evening. And the French striker, who now plays for Real Madrid, reveals that he made a promise regarding the end of his adventure at PSG.
The facts date back to February 27, when Kylian Mbappé was still officially a player of the PSG whom he had decided to leave at the end of his contract the following June: Emmanuel Macron had organized a dinner at the Élysée at which the Emir of Qatarthe president of PSG Nasser Al-Khelafias well as Mbappé. And even if his divorce from the capital club was already recorded, the French striker had given a guarantee to the Emir concerning his personal investment in PSG.
“I respect your decision”
In an interview given to the show Clique on Canal + Sunday evening, Kylian Mbappé remembered this evening and his exchanges with the Emir of Qatarowner of PSG : « I'm in the car on the way to dinner, and news comes out that the Emir of Qatar is going to make an irrefutable offer to stay at PSG. He said to me: 'See, they think I'm going to make you an offer, but you've decided to leave and I respect your decision. You want to realize your dream of going to Real Madrid, thank you for everything' », Reveals Mbappé.
“I will give my best until the end”
« It touched me.
