On Cédric Yambéré's Twitch Channel, Soufiane
Bahassa spoke about his physical state, but also that of the Girondins de Bordeaux group.
“Physically, I feel good. I had done a good preparation in July, given that I already had a club at the start of the season (Bourges, editor's note). I was better physically, even if I didn't start the matches well. Right now I'm good, I think I'm in a good state, and I hope that continues. On top of that, we're good at that during the week. I'm good, because I'm not with nothing, like some in the team who had to play matches directly. I was already physically ready.”
Then, collectively…
“We are showing strength in terms of impact, compared to the very beginning… If we make the difference with the match against Dinan-Léhon, our only defeat… It's not that we were being eaten up, but we was a bit of a mess. We were late on everything. There, when I see our matches, even if it is not yet perfect, I find that we are able to outrun the opponent from the start. Our first thirty minutes against Les Herbiers, if we don't do that, I don't think we'll score the way we score. We went for these two goals, thanks to the physical impact, lots of running… Players like Amadou (Diallo), Travis (Mutyaba), who arrived even later, you see the difference. Travis' last match, in the impact, has nothing to do with the first matches when he arrived.
And he told an anecdote about Travis Mutyaba
exactly.
“Travis is the mascot, you just have to look at it and you laugh (laughs). For us, it's a quiet winter, but for him it's the North Pole… He asked Amadou a question, we laughed, it was: 'it's the winter where it's going to be even colder ?' (laughs).”
