On December 10 and 11, elections for the presidency of the French Football Federation (FFF) (verdict on the 14th during the General Assembly). The vote must decide between the outgoing candidate, Philippe Diallo and his rival, Pierre Samsonoff. Monday evening, the two men were auditioned by videoconference in front of around thirty professional clubs and agreed on several points.

According to L'Équipe, the two men made joint promises: financing of a professional Ligue 3 by the FFF, installation of VAR in Ligue 2 next season, support for arbitration to the tune of 10 million per season during the next two financial years and finally temporary renunciation of the tranche of CVC funds (€10M) intended for the Federation in order to relieve the treasury of the Professional Football League.
In a previous speech, Pierre Samsonoff had notably proposed the creation “specific offers for FFF licensees for subscriptions to L1 or L2 broadcasters “. For his part, Philippe Diallo recalled the management of the Challenge des Espoirs and announced his intention to “ request a meeting with the LFP and the clubs to consider the reforms necessary to get professional football out of the difficulties in which it finds itself today.
