While the debate focused on Bruno Genesio on the set of the Evening Team, Stéphane Guy wanted to salute the excellent work carried out by the management of LOSC for several seasons. All this despite a difficult economic context, which did not prevent Olivier Létang and his teams from finding solutions to remain competitive.

LOSC, model for French football

“What I really like about is the club work. Club work which has repercussions at all levels, particularly regarding the choice of coach. It's effective, we identify very well the executives like David, Chevalier, André, Diakité, Cabella and Zhegrova. Around, there is the malice of taking players that Olivier Létang knows very well like Mandi and Meunier. Then, there are all these young players who have been coming out for several months. Whether it was (Ayyoub) Bouaddi last season or Mukau who they went to find in Belgium and who no one knew, Fernandez Pardo who made the difference on the second goal.

At the start of the season, we wondered if they were going to be able to play on all counts

In all matches, we ultimately say to ourselves that the Lille squad is rich. At the start of the season, we wondered if they were going to be able to play on all counts. They also chose the coach capable of using this squad. The financial situation forced LOSC to drastically reduce the payroll. They demonstrated that we could recover our accounts and remain competitive in sport. It's very rare though. It’s very, very strong what’s happening at LOSC. »
