Olympique de Marseille intends to continue to strengthen during the next Mercato, under the leadership of Roberto De Zerbi. Eager to establish himself over the long term on the banks of the Canebière, the Italian technician will set out to shape a team in his image, which he has already started to do since his arrival last summer. While he has already managed to recruit Elye Wahi and Neal Maupay in attack, the 43-year-old technician would not yet be satisfied and could well strike very hard again during the next winter transfer window.
OM in the mix for Raspadori?
Indeed, according to information from La Repubblica, “RDZ” would have its sights set on Giacomo Raspadori, who plays little this season for Naples. Valued at around 20 million euros, the Marseille coach knows him well having had him under his command at Sassuolo. However, beware of competition from Juventus but also from Atalanta, who had already tried it this summer. For its part, the Corriere del Mezzogiorno confirmed the interests of OM and the Dea for the player but revealed that Antonio Conte would like to keep him and try him as an understudy for Scott McTominay in a more remote position on the field. It remains to be seen whether the role of understudy will suit the Italian international, who would therefore have no shortage of suitors.
As a reminder, Medhi Benatia had made a strong outing in the upcoming winter Mercato a few weeks ago in Rothen ignites and had instead insisted on reinforcements in the defensive sector: “We will take stock of the upcoming transfer window. When we see the goals we score, they are gifts. We can change a lot of things. The defenders who arrived in the transfer window are high quality players. If we believed it three months ago, we still believe it today“. It remains to be seen whether OM will allow themselves a small deviation to satisfy their coach.
