young Portuguese from Sporting explode those from Arsenal

This Tuesday afternoon, the young Portuguese from Sporting made short work of Arsenal's U19s, as part of the fifth day of the Youth League.

As usual since the start of the season, Sporting shines in the Youth League. This Tuesday afternoon, a few hours before the opposition between the two professional groups at the Estadio José Alvalade, the young Leões largely defeated those of Arsenal for the fifth day of this European competition.

En Youth League, le Sporting met Arsenal KO

The Sporting academy has not finished making headlines. After having recently nurtured several talents, as is notably the case of the young phenomenon Geovany Quenda, the Portuguese club's training center was once again put to the test this Tuesday, while the U19 team faced that of Arsenal in the Youth League.

The Portuguese were quickly able to put themselves in the best position to win the game. From the first minutes of the match, the untenable Gabriel Silva opened the scoring, before Denilson Santos doubled the lead shortly after a quarter of an hour of play. To conclude this beautiful European afternoon, it was Rayhan Momade who came to score the third Portuguese goal, at the end of a sublime collective action in the second period.

A team built to win?

With this fourth victory in the space of five days, Sporting continues its progress in the competition. For the moment, the Portuguese club is in second place in the general ranking, and can therefore look forward to the future with peace of mind.

Led in particular by a Gabriel Silva in great shape, author of four goals since the start of the competition, the Portuguese club can also count on excellent defensive solidity. For the moment, Sporting has, with only three goals conceded, the best defense in the competition, just like Girona and Juventus, who however have one game less than the Portuguese team. The key to future success?
