On behalf of L'Equipe Mag, journalist Hugo Guillemet followed the “hyperactive” John Textor for a whole week between his home in Florida, Rio, the Bahamas, London and Lyon. He notably recounted the rather crazy party which preceded the derby won by OL against ASSE (1-0) on Sunday November 10.
“He's a good guy, this Textor. But he's crazy! »
At the end of his first Lyon – Sainté, the “Tex” ended up… in a nightclub. The opportunity to display all the good nature of this divisive character who makes supporters tremble by taking big risks on the OL economy. Extract :
« Au Sixthe night establishment in Les Brotteaux, the Lyon district where he ends his week, is a disco evening. Textor dances until dawn to Gilbert Montagné. The fans are not all blind, some urge him to “save the club”, but they all end up putting an arm around his neck, whispering in his ear or putting multi-colored wigs on him to immortalize the moment, before confiding to his friends, near the bar: “He’s a good guy, this Textor. But he's crazy! » »
This is indeed what emerges from this week-long report from the American, capable of jet-skying among baby sharks and a few plane loops a few hours from important meetings for his clubs. Soccer.
