Jonathan David keeps his good momentum

Designated by Jesse Marsch, his coach, as “ the smartest player » that he had to direct, Jonathan David once again pleased his coach. After being a passer in the first leg, the LOSC striker this time found the net during the quarter-final return leg of the Nations League between Canada and Suriname (3-0). Opening the scoring (1-0, 24′), the number 9 of the Mastiffs launched the great success of his team, with two other goals from Jacob Shaffelburg (2-0, 30′; 3-0, 67′). Qualified for the final phase of the Nations League, Canada will play Mexico in the semi-final.

And Gabriel Gudmundsson was rested during Sweden's big victory against Azerbaijan, with a quadruplet from the insatiable Viktor Gyokeres, Ayyoub Bouaddi came on as a substitute during the French U21 team's draw against Germany (2-2). Getting off to a bad start, chasing the score following Maximilian Beier's double (0-1, 5'; 0-2, 50'), the Bleuets launched their comeback with a penalty converted by Mathys Tel (1-2, 63') . Replacing Andy Diouf in the 78' minute, Ayyoub Bouaddi was on the field when Loum Tchaouna came to cut the good cross Killian Sildillia to snatch the equalizer in added time (2-2, 90'+3).
