After long months of uncertainty, the TV rights for Ligue 1 have finally found buyers. These are DAZN and BeIn Sports. And the two media are talking. For various reasons however. The first saw its offer choke Football fans for a long time while the second took time to pay its dues to the Professional Football League. Also, regarding DAZN, what worries many is that the sports streaming service does not have the subscribers necessary to thrive. If the media tries to reassure, it is said that it would only have 500,000 subscribers. Problem, DAZN and the LFP have set a threshold of 1.5 million subscribers to be reached by December 1, 2025. And if this figure is not reached, then DAZN (like the LFP) will have the option of terminate their contract before the scheduled end in 2029.
