In an interview with journalist Timothé Crépin, the former defender of the Girondins de Bordeaux, Malcom Bokéléspoke about one of his last memories at FCGB, that of his roommate during the internship in Spain, with
Jacques Ekomie. We learn that the two players, with Danylo Ignatenkohad been sidelined by Albert Riera.
“When we resume with Bordeaux, the coach summons me with Jacques (Ekomié) and Danylo Ignatenko. He tells us that he is going to make his team, and basically that we have the level to play higher, so that he is not going to count us in his squad, and that we have to find a way exit… We say ok, no problem, because that's what was supposed to happen at least for me, so I didn't learn much. Already, before leaving for an internship in Spain, with Jacques and Dany, we didn't train too much. We arrived in Spain, we didn't do anything at all… We didn't train… In the room, we looked at each other, and we said to ourselves that it wasn't possible, that we had to leave 'here, it was crazy… We spent ten days, and basically, we didn't do anything. It was complicated… Fortunately, I was with Jacques, we had a good laugh. He was too angry… It was funny (laughs).”
