Following the Swedish victory against Slovakia on Saturday evening (2-1), Viktor Gyökeres, the most sought-after striker in Europe, revealed a bombshell about the rest of his season.
New match for Viktor Gyökeres and new goal, this time with the national team. Saturday, during the reception of Slovakia in the group stage of the League of Nations, the scorer opened the scoring after only 3 minutes of play, and contributed to the victory of his team (2-1) .
After the match, the 26-year-old striker was asked about his future. Courted by FC Barcelona and Manchester United – where his former coach Ruben Amorin has just arrived – Gyökeres declares that he wants to finish the season at Sporting Lisbon.
“He already has several attackers there, so we'll see. But it's not something I think about. Obviously I want to play the whole season with Sporting and I feel good there, so I'm in no rush to move. We'll see when the time comes.”explains the man with 48 goals in 2024.
