finds itself in a complicated situation. Faced with economic difficulties, the HAC is struggling to get out of the red zone at the start of the season. A difficult context for ASSE's competitor in Ligue 1. Jean-Michel Roussier spoke in the columns of L'Equipe. Excerpts.

The HAC injured in Ligue 1?

Jean-Michel Roussier (President of the HAC):Le Havre season? We were hoping for a little better, that's for sure. But it comes as no great surprise. The only surprise is the facts of the game which accumulate every day and are systematically unfavorable to us. There is always a problem, it's starting to weigh on us. I want to hear that it balances out over a season. There, I find that we have taken a big advantage over the negative…

We could have scored more goals, conceded fewer, etc. But these facts of the game deprive us, I think reasonably, of three points. It’s a litany, we list them all. They are also quite indisputable, with red cards distributed at home but not in front of us, decisions taken at random without the VAR having been consulted. I'm not whining, it's an observation.”

A complicated transfer window ahead

Jean-Michel Roussier (President of the HAC):We will have to sell in January, that's very certain. Will the team weaken? No. We will find solutions as we have done until now. I have great confidence in the sports management and the staff. I'm not worried about that at all. We are one point behind the three teams in front of us (, and Saint-Étienne), we are not left behind. From the start, we knew it would be tight. And we managed the workforce according to our means. We didn't flare up, unlike others, so as not to put ourselves in a dangerous situation. That's all.

Ligue 1 less stable than Ligue 2

Jean-Michel Roussier (President of the HAC): “The risk of going down to L2? The paradox today is that the economy of an L2 club is probably more stable than that of an L1 club like ours. With the payroll, the charges, we are less at risk in L2 than in L1 But it is above all our desire to return there and there is no question about the future of the club, Ligue 1 or Ligue. 2.”
