This Sunday, November 17, 2024, the
Girondins de competed in the 7th round of the French Cup outside facing the club
Bressuire. The meeting was played at Alain Métayer Stadium.

The players of Bruno Irles had the mission to pass an additional round against a team which plays two levels below the Navy and White. For this, the technician had rotated as usual, while keeping a competitive team on paper. The priority remains the National 2 championship. The start of the match is rhythmic, even if it is the Girondins who have the ball. Bressuire pushes but Diabaté diverts a very good ball in the first moments. For its part, Bordeaux projects itself, often on the left side with Amadou Diallo. The latter still struggles in the finish and the last gesture. Repositioned at the forefront for a first, N'Famadu Diaby is very available and it is he who will open the scoring like a fox of the surfaces, after a long opening from Ben Khemis for Karim who recovers the chest before a defender does not deviate. No matter, Diaby followed and opened the scoring. The rest of the period will be more sluggish on both sides, with technical waste, notably by Diallo, Karim and Fofana. Established on the right side, he made several risky deliveries, one of which ended directly in a corner, another at the feet of an opposing attacker.

In the second half, Irles plays again and we see Trichard and Merdji come in, then Bahassa a little later. In front, Safouane Karim offers interesting things but is not rewarded. On the other hand, Amadou Diallo has more difficulties. In the middle Louveau and Depussay hold their ranks, even if they rarely project themselves. Behind, Diabaté will once again have the opportunity to shine and diverts a shot on his line. Nassim Ranem repels a lot of balls from crosses. Bahassa's entry is good and his precision allows Bordeaux to double the lead, for Safouane Karim finally rewarded. Bressuire will have small situations but Bordeaux will hold on, controlling their subject over the entire match.

Bordeaux wins and therefore joins the 8th round, which will be at home against Les Herbiers.

Here are the summary grades we gave to the players as well as the coach:
