For Le Mag, the journalist Laurent Brun reacted to Alain Bauderon's question, that of a possible comparison between this season's Girondins de Bordeaux, and the Minots team of Olympique de .

“I saw them all play at Lescure thanks to my father, and that generation was incredible. I don't claim to know everything, but when I saw this report dedicated to them on Canal, it still touched me. I said to myself, well done to these guys for doing that. There was a group of friends too, even if they shot each other a little in the face from time to time. I hadn't necessarily made the parallel with this current Girondins de Bordeaux team, but I did, however, with the team in Ligue 2 two years ago. Yes, in Marseille, it was just local guys. They knew the identity, they wet the jersey, they did it. Same in , with in particular the emblematic captain Dimitri Liénard who reached Ligue 1… It’s extraordinary. Lifelong gratitude for those people. It's not because we are rivals and we don't necessarily like each other on a sporting level that we shouldn't recognize it. There was incredible work, players of quality, of temperament… The times have changed, there are some who tackled to the carotid artery too, but they gained respect, they rebuilt, even though the club had almost exploded at the time. We can perhaps also draw a parallel with that. All the boys who are at the Girondins de Bordeaux today have a love of the jersey. They also understood something, what the weight of the jersey was, but also that it was not a handicap, that it did not have to be. They included the many spectators in the stands, all that. We are not getting excited, but they are on the path where it will no longer weigh on them, and on the contrary rather give them wings”
