The captain of the Mastiffs Benjamin André is present in the list of candidate Pierre Samsonoff for the FFF elections. In the event of victory for the former general director of the Amateur Football League, the LOSC player could be integrated into the Comex.
Benjamin André in the opposition list
This is the news that no one expected. Benjamin André, captain of LOSC, is involved in the electoral campaign of the French Football Federation (FFF). The 34-year-old is 15th on the list led by Pierre Samsonoff, opponent of interim president Philippe Diallo.
The former director of the LFA and deputy to the FFF has rallied football figures. Among them, we can find the Lille player's teammate in Rennes, namely Romain Danzé. Both have already held a position as Stade Rennais delegates to the UNFP in 2018-2019.
Due to his status as an active player, Benjamin André will have to benefit from an adjustment. Candidate Pierre Samsonoff spoke on this subject: “We will adapt, in agreement with the club, its level of participation. Everything is done in a spirit of collaboration. Having actors from the field within the Comex represents an asset for future debates.”
After bringing order to the LOSC midfield, will the captain be able to assert his leadership in the highest levels of football? To be continued. Anyway, we will keep you informed of the results of the election for the presidency of the FFF coming in a month.
