Adil Rami (ex-LOSC) suspects injury simulations in the French team

In recent days, the French team has recorded two withdrawals from its squad. Very active on social networks, former player Adil Rami spoke about the taboo of simulated injuries during international periods.

For the last two matches of 2024, Didier Deschamps called on 23 players, including Lucas Chevalier, whom he called to a press conference on Thursday November 7. Meanwhile, two items on his roster were forced to withdraw due to injuries. Wesley Fofana (knee) and Ousmane Dembélé (ischio) were thus replaced by Benjamin Pavard and Kingsley Coman, who had not been called up since Euro 2024.

Very active on his Twitch channel, Adil Rami discussed the news of the Blues and the subject of injuries which are becoming more and more recurrent. He also estimated that certain players could fake it to avoid participating in international gatherings:
“Well yeah, guys, you have to have your injuries noted. Normally, they trust the PSG doctors, since there it is Dembélé and he plays there. But you need to have (the injury) evaluated to find out if you are unavailable for 1, 2, 3 days and to know if you can stay or if you have to return. And also to find out if players don't want to play for the team and fake their injury. It even happens very often. Please note, I am not accusing Dembélé. But I know it's happened before.”declared the former LOSC player (2006-11).

The France team faces Israel and Italy as part of the 5th and 6th days of the Nations League during this November international break. The Blues will also take to the pitch at the Stade de France this Thursday, at 8:45 p.m.
