A footballing fairy tale is being written in Vendée. FC Saint-Philbert La Réorthe La Jaudonnière, a modest District Division 3 club, defies all expectations by reaching the 7th round of the Coupe de France. A historic feat for this Vendée team which, round after round, eliminates opponents from higher divisions. A journey strewn with strong emotions which culminates with a qualification on penalties against SO Cholet, a Regional 3 opponent. The draw for the 7th round reserved a new major challenge for the little Thumb of Vendée: SA Mérignacais ( R1). This match, which will be held on the weekend of November 16, 2024, promises to be a new stage in this extraordinary adventure.
