Two goalkeepers who wear or have worn the LOSC jersey will be at the next gathering of the French team. Lucas Chevalier, called up for the first time by Didier Deschamps, joins Mike Maignan, today goalkeeper for AC Milan, and who shone in the northern cages between 2015 and 2021, with a French champion title as his apotheosis.

Maignan and Chevalier are also the last two LOSC players to have been called up to the Blues, with attacking midfielder Jonathan Ikoné. Long before, Jean Baratte, top scorer in the history of the club (171 goals in 273 matches) had worn the blue jersey 32 times between 1944 and 1953. He is still today the Lille player to have worn the most often two jerseys. In absolute terms, it is Mike Maignan who follows him, with 26 call-ups during his period in Lille but only 44 minutes of play and 1 selection in this period of time.
Other players have worn both jerseys more often, such as André Strappe (23 caps) or Mathieu Debuchy (13 caps). The right-back is one of the players to have not only joined the Blues playing for LOSC, but also having been trained there. A characteristic that Lucas Chevalier will share, even if the goalkeeper will undoubtedly still wait to play his first minutes in Blue.
