On TV7, the Girondins de Bordeaux midfielder,
Emery Depussaylooked back on his eventful summer, particularly with regard to the link he had with the FCGB.
“You should know that things had already deteriorated a little bit before this transition phase. I had played a little with David Guion. Then, I was quite bothered by pubalgia over the past year and a half. I had surgery. Afterwards, with coach Riera and Admar Lopes, they made me understand, and even said clearly that they were not counting on me this season. At the end of the season, and the start of preparation, the objective was to leave and find a project elsewhere to revive myself a little after this complicated period. Then, we all know how it went… Relegation, etc… I immediately very quickly analyzed what could be good for me, and I made it known that I wanted to stay. It was also in their plan for John Williams and the coach, so I stayed, and it’s going well.”
Then, he specified the contractual terms.
“I had to terminate this contract because these are contracts which are approved by the LFP, on which we no longer depend today. Professional contracts could no longer allow playing. There was this process which meant that it took me a little time to be able to start the process of terminating this contract again. Then, I took a classic amateur player’s license.”
