This Wednesday, November 6, the CIES Observatory revealed the ranking of the most expensive U21 players in the world. Among them, two Saint-Germain players are in the top 5.

This is a new step forward for Paris Saint-Germain. While the club regularly rejoices in its progress on the international scene, it will now be able to be satisfied with the ranking drawn up by the CIES Football Observatory. Weekly letter n°479 lists the 100 most expensive players under the age of 21 in the world. If Lamine Yamal is more than well at the top of the ranking, we can nevertheless find two PSG players in the top 5, including one on the podium.

The golden youth of PSG

Lamine Yamal is unbeatable, that’s obvious. The FC Barcelona winger is achieving feats for his young age which make him look like the new Lionel Messi. Valued at 181 million euros, he is far ahead of Alejandro Garnacho, the Manchester United striker (115 million euros). As mentioned above, it is indeed a Paris Saint-Germain player who completes the podium of the most expensive U21 players in the world. Indeed, Warren Zaire-Emery, aged only 18, has a market value estimated at 110 million euros. This is more than worth noting, in a world where Paris Saint-Germain is struggling to use players from its training center.

If Savio Moreira, Manchester City player, occupies fourth place (101 million euros), we find the young João Neves in fifth position. The Portuguese midfielder, who arrived last summer for the modest sum of 60 million euros, would today be worth 100 million, according to the CIES Football Observatory. Other PSG players are part of this ranking since Lucas Beraldo is the most expensive U21 central defender (70 million euros). An anecdote for some but important work for others.
