“I will be from for life”

Applauded by the public when he came into play (68′), this Tuesday evening, Timothy Weah was delighted to be back at the Pierre-Mauroy stadium and his great friends Angel Gomes and Jonathan Davidwhile LOSC holds a special place in the heart of the American.

Timothy, what did this return to Pierre-Mauroy give you?

“It’s a source of immense pride, it’s my home. I spent four years here, I'm happy to be here and to have played against Lille.

Are you satisfied with this result?

Personally, I am not satisfied. I want to win every match. But we also saw a great team from Lille. They are going to do great things this season.

Do you still follow LOSC regularly? Have you stayed in touch with any members?

Yes, with Angel (Gomes) and Jona (David). I'm on the phone with Angel almost every day. I watch all the matches, I am very proud of my team (speaking of LOSC). It's a very interesting team.

What were you talking about with Angel and Jonathan before the match?

Before the match, we were laughing. I said to him: “You know we’re going to win tonight, right?” (smile). I'm happy to see my friends, I hope everything goes well for them. I am still from Lille, I will be for life. »
