The Textor circle could soon expand. Already owner of OL in France, Botafogo in Brazil, RWD Molenbeek in Belgium and 45% of Crystal Palace, another club could come under the American flag. According to information from The Sun, John Textor could sell his shares to Crystal Palace. This departure of the 17th in the Premier League does not happen without reason. The 59-year-old is this time targeting a team in the English second division: Watford. This is the third English club he is targeting after his failed takeover of Everton in September.
An operation between 150 and 175 million euros
In conflict with the club's other owners, John Textor puts his shares in Crystal Place up for sale at £230 million. If this sale goes through, he will make an offer to Gino Pozzo, owner of Watford. The Italian put ten percent of the club on the market last summer but remains open to discussion over the rest of the shares. The Championship team is valued at between 150 and 170 million euros. Watford appeals to the American because Pozzo also owns Udinese in Italy. His experience in club management could be a strong argument in negotiations.
