It's a real internal war that OM has decided to resolve quickly. Jean-Pierre Papin, club legend and reserve coach, currently in the race for the title in National 3, was in direct opposition to Ali Zarrak, close to Medhi Benatia and responsible for Pro 2. JPP criticized too much interference from Zarrak in his choices, and won his case, since the latter was assigned to other missions, in particular scouting or even monitoring the reserves of large European clubs.
Papin will have to follow the principles of De Zerbi
Which means that Papin definitely won in the eyes of management? Not necessarily because the Team of the Day specifies that the 1991 Ballon d'Or will also have to be held accountable internally. If he wishes to have the freedom of his choices, Papin will however be required to always work in coordination with the first team, with the obligation to work on the principles imposed by Roberto De Zerbi. Another important subject is seeing young people play friendly matches in addition to N3 matches, to prepare for the pace of the elite. Conditions that Papin, in a more serene climate, is willing to follow.
