Things were difficult for the Greens this Sunday in National 3. Everything started well, however, with an interesting first 10 minutes, symbolized by a post hit by the conquering Stéphanois. But ASSE then retreated, allowing the Clermont visitors, looking for a first success this season, to gain confidence. The CF63 took the opportunity to open the scoring by being quicker at the back post (ASSE 0-1 CF63, 20th) before doubling the stake a quarter of an hour later (ASSE 0-2 CF63, 36e). In the meantime, Igor Miladinovic had nevertheless obtained a very good opportunity, without managing to deceive the Clermont goalkeeper. Same finality on the side of Mathis Amougou, who also failed to win his face-to-face just before the break.

Returning with intentions but unfortunately still clumsy, the Greens regained hope when El Hadji Dieye came to reduce the score from a corner (AXIS 1-2 CF63, 71e). Clermont fell back, but the momentum was unfortunately short-lived. With a well-executed action and some success, the visitors put an end to the suspense by widening the gap a few minutes from the end of the match (ASSE 1-3 CF63, 82e). While the Auvergnats won their first match of the season and took the opportunity to double ASSE in the standings, the Greens have their backs against the wall before hosting Seyssinet next Sunday.

Sometimes we have no excusesconcedes Razik Nedder. We didn't have a good match. The individual performances were all below what we are capable of doing. We were lacking rhythm, it's a logical result. We certainly had opportunities, especially at the start of the match, but we conceded too many things. When we aspire to play in L1 one day in a club like ours, we have to be more rigorous.”
